With established roots in motorsport and the automotive industry, Lyra Electronics serves the growing demands of any industry that is looking to embrace electrification to improve its cost performance and environmental footprint.

Lyra specialises in high efficiency, compact and high performance DC-DC converters, motor drive inverters, battery management systems and other power electronics topologies to support electrification of all industries.
We at Lyra Electronics are looking to recruit the highest calibre engineers to join our highly motivated team to make their own contribution to a fast growing company in a fast moving industry.

About the role

As a Hardware Safety and Reliability Engineer you will drive Hardware Engineering process improvements and ensure our product designs meet the ISO 26262 requirements.

You will be familiar with at least one of the commonly recognised industry sources to determine the hardware part failure rates and the failure mode distributions such as IEC/TR 62380, IEC 61709, MIL HDBK 217 F notice 2, RIAC HDBK 217 Plus, UTE C80-811, NPRD 95, EN 50129:2003, Annex C, IEC 62061:2005, Annex D, RIAC FMD97 and MIL HDBK 338

You will take ownership to define hardware architectural metrics to differentiate between different architectures, support evaluation of the final design (making precise calculations with the detailed hardware design) and make available ASIL dependant pass/fail criteria for the hardware architecture.

You will actively contribute to the design of the safety mechanisms to prevent risk from latent faults, single-point faults and residual faults and ensure robustness concerning uncertainty of hardware failure rates.

You will have good experience with DFMEA and FTA and their application in automotive industry.
